Inter Milan are closing in on signing Parma's Italian full-back Matteo Darmian, 30, in a £1.8m deal.

Former Everton and Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell, 28, who is a free agent, is in talks with Serie A side Parma after a deal with Roma fell through.

Matteo Darmian is to join Parma for £1.4m as he follows Manchester United teammates Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez to Italy.
